An Essay About Strong Writing - What EveryEssay Writer Needs to Know

An Essay About Strong Writing - What EveryEssay Writer Needs to KnowHave you ever thought about an essay about strong writing? I sure have. Writing a simple, one-page essay has always been difficult for me.I guess that is because I haven't had the opportunity to learn a little bit about the current topic I am currently writing about. I am only familiar with what I learned from my high school education.Being a teacher of literature in high school, I should know a little about how to teach writing and the many types of essays that are available. Of course, I should know about fiction and non-fiction, but those are more of an art form.If you are thinking about writing an essay about strong writing, I am certain you are interested in the subject matter. For that reason, let's start at the beginning. When a strong writer does a story or essay, she starts with one goal and then moves forward to create more stories and essays. She does not just write what she knows. Instead, she does researc h on the topic. That's where most people go wrong. They simply start off by making statements and leaving them to prove their truth. If they create a successful story, that is where they stop. They never continue to build upon what they have written. By doing that, they never move forward to create stories and essays on a more important topic. So if you want to know how to write an essay about strong writing, I suggest you begin your writing with a stated goal and move forward towards accomplishing it. If you take the time to research the topic, you will be rewarded with much more than an essay.

Sample Personal Goal Essay for Colleges

Sample Personal Goal Essay for CollegesA sample personal goal essay for colleges is a great way to prepare for the interview process, because they are typically specific in what you're applying for. When you are writing for colleges, you're usually asking for admission to a specific college or school. So, while the essay may not be as involved as something more traditional, it is important to make sure you prepare for the interview as well. Writing a personal goal essay can sometimes be a little intimidating, but there are ways to make it easier and more enjoyable for you.First, before you begin writing your essay, you should take the time to do some research on the college you are applying to. Most of these schools require you to complete a variety of paperwork, so it is important to find out as much information as possible. You should try to find out if the school has any bad or good grades by doing online research. Now that you know which schools you want to apply to, you need to c ome up with a goal essay. This may be the most difficult part, because you need to come up with something you will actually use. However, once you have a goal, it will be much easier to write about the specific experience you want to share. You should also consider what types of activities you want to highlight when you write about your goal. Some people may find that writing this type of essay is very hard, especially if they have never written a personal goal essay before. However, if you don't mind being creative, then you should be fine. If you are one of those people who like to do research, then you might be able to come up with an entire essay in just a few minutes. Just keep in mind that you should not just write something that sounds good, but that you would really like to do.Finally, after you have created your personal goal essay, it is time to submit it. This may sound simple, but many students get too excited when they first start writing their essay. They might write th e essay first, and then fill in all the blanks later. Try to avoid this. The idea is to write the essay, then fill in the blanks after you've finished. There are some tips that you can follow to make this process a lot easier for you. If you're applying to colleges, the easiest way to do this is to focus on the benefits that you will receive if you get accepted to the college you want to go to. By creating a written description of all the benefits that you will receive if you apply to a particular college, you can make sure that your essay is strong enough to be accepted. Make sure that you do not repeat information or provide any inconsistencies in the essay.Although the personal goal essay can be easy for students to write, it still is a good idea to prepare. The reason is because there are some points that you will need to think about, and it is important to focus on the details you need to include in your essay. Taking some time and doing some research on the college you are appl ying to will allow you to become comfortable in doing so. Therefore, the process will be a lot easier, which makes it even more exciting to write your personal goal essay.

Oncidium Business Consulting Case Analysis

Oncidium Business Consulting is a company that traces its roots back in the 1970s. The Richard Ivey Business School at The University of Western Ontario was operating summer assistance programs for small and native businesses in Southwestern Ontario through the subsidies it was getting from the Federal government.Advertising We will write a custom case study sample on Oncidium Business Consulting Case Analysis specifically for you for only $16.05 $11/page Learn More The programs were soliciting the services of 15 students each summer since undergraduate and graduate students sought relevant work during their four-month break. At some point, the programs lost the federal support hence making it necessary to reduce the number of students who were initially participating in the program. Ivey continued with the program under the name Ivey Business Consulting Group. Some of the restrictions that characterized the program were eliminated but its startup was ne vertheless characterized by many problems. The program was run each summer by different groups of students. Jane Richards, the Founder of Oncidium Business Consulting joined the IBCG program in 2001 and was elected the practice’s manager. Richards graduated from the university in 2001, a period during which IBCG was experiencing many problems and the firm was unstable. As a result, she proposed that the program be converted into an arm of Ivey and be operated all year round. She argued that Ivey had enough resources and the Canadian market was in dire need of ideas on how to increase its growth. She was given an office in the school in order to anchor the idea firmly and in 2002; she transformed IBCG into a proprietorship.Advertising Looking for case study on business economics? I BCG opened an office in Toronto in September 2003 and hired additional staff. It continued to grow exponentially year after year between 2003 and 2005. Ivey decided to withdraw from the firm in 2004 and that was when Oncidium Business Consulting was born. Its services included strategic plans, market assessment, and market research to clients of all natures. Oncidium continued to register remarkable growth in 2006 and 2007. However in 2006, Richards started feeling like a stranger in her own company. This was happening despite the fact that she had founded the company and worked hard to see it grow. She could see a promising financial future for the company but the present had turned into a disappointment and unhappy scenario for Richards who wondered what she was doing in the company. Richards revisited revenue generation which was the performance metric agreed upon during the formation of the company. This was an easily measurable and quantifiable metric but only Maria had achieve d it. However, she got the lowest equity while Simon and Stephen who had not hit the targets got the highest and even Richards doubled theirs. Richards struggled to make the decision on whether to give them the equity when they had not achieved the performance metric since her mentors had suggested that nobody was to deviate from the set performance metrics. However, she felt that failure to give them the equity was bound to cause them to leave and she was not ready to build new relationships. She also felt that they were not skilled in revenue generation but they compensated in execution and delivery.Advertising We will write a custom case study sample on Oncidium Business Consulting Case Analysis specifically for you for only $16.05 $11/page Learn More Currently, the ownership of the stakes is perceived as inequitable by the other partners in the company. Simon and Stephen deal with delivery which is scalable since they have the support of other emplo yees in the company. Richards on the other hand deals with revenue generation which is an individual effort and feels that she bears the brunt. Whenever she is in the office, she feels Simon and Stephen feel that she should be outside selling projects. As a result, Richards feels that what she has done for the company is not appreciated and Simon and Stephen feel that the internal management of the company they are concerned with has a greater value than what Richards does. Differences have been growing everyday between Richards and her three partners in the company. This has been heightened by the fact that the three partners have been conducting secret meetings to strategize on how to throw Richards out of the company. Simon and Stephen have constituted a projects delivery team that is comprised of young individuals in their early 20s while Richards is in her mid 30s. This group bonds very well and after office, they go clubbing while Richards does not. This makes her an outsider in her own company. As the firm continues to grow in the presence of younger staff, the skills-set has been broken down. Richard’s idea of focusing on strategy-based assignments which bring in more dollars per assignment has been highly contested by the other partners. Simon and Stephen feel that the strategy is too competitive and Oncidium lacks the resources and skills to measure up to the standards of well established and financially stable consultancies.Advertising Looking for case study on business economics? Let's see if we can help you! Get your first paper with 15% OFF Learn More From the financial statements, it is evident that Oncidium Business Consulting has been registering remarkable growth since 2005. The firm therefore has potential for continued growth in the future if the current problems are comprehensively addressed. The firm has strong capital base as portrayed by the revenue collected in the financial statement. However, there is need to regulate the equities and liabilities since they seem to go up every subsequent year. This is not a good sign because it might destabilize the firm. Generally, the profits of the firm portray an impressive potential since there is increment in every subsequent year. It is important for Richards and her partners to work together for the sake of the success of the firm. The following are some of the recommendations that may be useful in a bid to resolve the current standoff in the firm. The first recommendation is that Richards should hold a meeting with the rest of the partners and discuss with them the concerns that make her feel no longer comfortable in the firm. The second recommendation is that Richards should contact her advisory team and inform it of the current situation in the firm for appropriate advice on how to approach the matter. The third recommendation is that a review of the nature of the roles of each one of them should be reviewed. The fourth recommendation is that a strict and open system should be put in place to determine who should join the firm. Richards should also be involved in selecting individuals who join the firm. The sixth recommendation is that she could consider the short gun clause in the partnership agreement and leave the firm. The best recommendation is to conduct a review of the roles and responsibilities of all the partners in the firm. This includes reviewing the practicality of the metrics set for each partner. The best way to do this is to conduct the advisors of the firm and hold a meeting with all the partners. Since the advisors are knowledgeable people in such matters they can advise on the most appropriate course of action in such situations. They would also reiterate on the importance of valuing the input of all the partners in the firm. How to Get Job Offers †Not Just Interviews †With Your LinkedIn Profile

How to Get Job Offers – Not Just Interviews – With Your LinkedIn Profile Is Your LinkedIn Profile Getting You Job OFFERS? Last week, I spoke with a technology executive about working with us on his LinkedIn profile and resume. Upon investigation, I discovered that he was getting interviews for positions that interested him- but not job offers. At first glance, it might seem like the problem was his interviewing skills. After all, isn’t the job of the LinkedIn profile and resume to get an interview, and after that it’s up to you? Well, that’s partially true, and it’s certainly possible that this client could use some interview coaching. But a freaky fact of human nature suggests that something else could be at play. It’s called â€Å"impression formation† or â€Å"priming,† and it’s not to be overlooked or taken lightly. Do you think that if you’re getting interviews with your LinkedIn profile and resume you don’t have to worry about whether you need to change them? You might be wrong. A study of students’ perceptions of their professors, and how these perceptions can be formed, is a case in point. Consider these excerpts that illustrate how much our preconceived notions affect our experience of another person: †¦[I]n one of the earliest studies on impression formation, Kelley (1950) found that when students were told a guest lecturer was â€Å"very warm†, the central trait produced more favorable evaluations of the instructor than when students were told the guest lecturer was â€Å"rather cold†. In a more recent replication and extension of Kelley’s experiment, Widmeyer and Loy (1988) had students evaluate a lecture presented by a visiting professor. Prior to the lecture, students received background information about the instructor; some received information suggesting that the visiting professor was warm while others were presented with information that suggested the professor was cold. Analyses revealed that students perceived the visiting professor as a more effective teacher and more pleasant to have for class when he was described as a warm rather than a cold person. †¦Those who read the syllabus written in an unfriendly tone rated the hypothetical adjunct candidate as being colder than those who read the syllabus written in a friendly tone. †¦Those who received the syllabus written in a friendly tone rated the target as being warmer than those who read the syllabus that was written in an unfriendly tone. †¦Those who read the syllabus written in a friendly tone rated the instructor as being more motivated to teach the course. Harnish, Richard J. and K. Robert Bridges, Effect of syllabus tone: students’ perceptions of instructor and course Did you read that?!! Wow. Extrapolating to interviews, if the interviewer has a preconceived notion of the candidate as warm or friendly, it’s more likely he or she will experience the candidate as warm, and even as more motivated, in the interview! Conversely, if the interviewer thinks ahead of time that the candidate will be cold, it’s unlikely that the interview itself will change this impression. Interviewers Make Unconscious Conclusions You might be thinking, â€Å"But these were students being studied. They are young and impressionable! Surely an interviewer, who has more maturity and experience, would not be swayed as much by past judgments.† I’m afraid that’s not the case. In 2008 study, Williams and Bargh staged job interviews with study participants and found that if interviewers drank hot coffee before the interview, they would perceive the candidate as warm. Iced coffee? You guessed it. Cold candidate. Interviewers’ perceptions were also influenced, disturbingly, by the comfort of their seats and the weight of their notetaking folders. There are many conclusions that can be drawn from these studies, from â€Å"Make sure you have a warm hand when you shake hands with your interviewer† to â€Å"Don’t hire candidates based on interviews since your unconscious mind is ruling the decision. Use psychological testing instead.† The conclusion I want to draw, however, is about your LinkedIn profile. And maybe your resume too. Conveying Warmth with Your LinkedIn Profile and Resume You have a huge opportunity in your LinkedIn profile and resume to prime the pump for your job interview. People respond to warmth. So look for ways to appear warm! Show some of your personality in addition to showcasing your accomplishments. Even if you’re not as warm in person as you are in your job marketing collateral, chances are you’ll be seen as warmer than someone who doesn’t communicate warmth in their LinkedIn profile and resume. Here are some examples from profiles written by The Essay Expert. Note that while we generally encourage first person for LinkedIn summaries, warmth can come through in the third person as well. Also note that your photo is a huge way to convey warmth! LeeAnn Dance: My journalism background gave me the ability to distill a large amount of material and hone in on what’s true and important. I can pinpoint the real message that needs to be conveyed, creating a human story that moves and inspires an audience. Ted Schoonmaker: Ted knows that people hire people, not resumes. Companies are not just looking for a set of qualifications that match a job description. To ensure a complete match, Ted extensively interviews both companies and candidates to find out who they are and what they are looking for – as companies and as people. Ted is most fulfilled when helping people to grow professionally. His vision and ability to nurture relationships lead to long-term solutions and success. Critical Account on Ethical Practice Assignment Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 500 words

Critical Account on Ethical Practice - Assignment Example Ideas expressed in the light of theory of Consequentialism, which is also known as consequence-based-ethics, declare the point that the rightness or wrongness of any particular action on the basis of ethics depends on the nature of consequence of that particular action (Froehlich 2004). In much simpler words, â€Å"whenever we are faced with a choice, the best and the most just decision is the one that results in the most good or greatest benefit for most people† (Strike 2009, p.8). Darren’s teacher’s choice of not intervening at the time when Darren and Phillip were fighting was correct because as a consequence of her choice Darren and Phillip somehow resolved their matter by themselves and ended up working on their assigned task. If the teacher would have interrupted the possible consequences for this act could have been mostly negative. Likewise, the entire class would have got disturbed, the students might have reacted to Phillip’s and Darren’s actions and as a result the whole classroom would have portrayed the picture of chaos and panic. So comparatively teacher did the right thing, which produced good consequence. In addition, teacher stored any trouble for later because her silence didn’t encourage any of the children to bully other mates but rather taught them the rule of tit for tat. As if one would be disturbing the other by any means he will in turn get the same disturbance sooner or later (Schon 2011; Atherton 2011). In addition, based on deontological view of ethics, obviously Darren’s teacher’s act parallel to what duty-based ethics actually are. As her behavior of staying quite and observing the fight among her students was the most dutiful attitude. She let her students decide what can be done in the situation like this. Also, there are two sorts of knowledge: convergent, and divergent. The gist of these two types of knowledge is that a teacher not just needs to be accurate and perfect guardian all the time but rather he should give opportunities to students to understand the actions of life by themselves. Israel and Hay (2006) are of the view that issues related to issues are highly common and they are surely becoming complex in nature to understand and deal with.

Health Care Disparities in the United States Research Paper

Health Care Disparities in the United States - Research Paper Example Yes, it is possible to eliminate health disparities in the United States. Eliminating the disparities that exist in healthcare is politically sensitive and rather challenging because they are somehow intertwined with a controversial record of race relationships in the US. Â  Some of the approaches that can be applied in eliminating health care disparities include increasing the competence and number of healthcare practitioners in areas which are underserved, expanding health insurance coverage, increasing the awareness base on root and arbitration to decrease the occurrence of health care disparities and raising community and health care practitioners understanding of racial or ethnic health care disparities. These strategies combined with others by the government are bound to be successful in eliminating health care disparities in the US. Â  The similar theme is that exists in the assigned articles is that eliminating health care disparities is key to improving the general quality of health care provided in the US. Most Americans do not often receive the quality health care that they deserve or on other occasions, the health care they get causes them harm (Williams, 2007). It is such incidences that have resulted in health care disparities in America.
